Who we are...

A unique world wide network of Dog accounts on Instagram

The Mongrels Club is a private club. The Mongrels accept members at no charge, it is an exclusive environment where like minded individuals network for the well being of humans best friend in the name of DOG.

Our Club has rules and guidelines for a positive environment. We encourage kindness and do not tolerate bullying. We connect to share adoptable pets, share advice and assist with solutions.

In order to help DOGS we discuss topics of rescue and foster.

We do not tolerate violence and raise awareness.

FOR THE LOVE OF DOG

Dog is not the same dog, there are infinitely many different breeds and hybrids, but they are all special. Anyone who is thinking of adopting or buying a pet and especially a dog, should advance reading relevant literature.

Before you take the step, be sure you are sure to commit! It's like getting a tattoo, you have to be commited.

A dog is a living breathing being, a soul with character and much more. If you are not absolutely certain, volunteer at a shelter, you must devote and expect about 15 years of your life to be devoted to a dog. It's like having a child that is stuck at the pre kindergarten phase.

HEALTH

No Dog owner wants to see their beloved dog in distress, pain, discomfort or suffering. But some illnesses leave one completely powerless. Some are breed specific, genetically prone and even come from over-breeding, for example, bone problems, the dogs then have mainly problems with their hips and back. And IVDD. We encourage spay and neuter.

RESCUE

The Mongrels Club networks with many rescue organizations all over the world. We actively support legit organizations that are dedicated to dog rescue. We support them in any way we can even through auctions and fundraisers or just by sharing adoptable pets that otherwise might be overlooked, in particular senior dogs or specially abled.

FOSTERS & VOLUNTEERS

While not all Club Members can foster or volunteer, we always welcome the ones who do. Many Rescues in our network always accept applications. Please contact us regardless of the state you reside in or which country you live in. We are happy to connect you in your area. Sharing is caring and even though some might not be in the financial situation to donate, there are ways to help.

AWARENESS

The Mongrels Club and its members have a strong desire to eduate on less common topics but also to talk and address the unpleasant topics. Animal welfare is our top priority and we share cases that need to be addressed the topics of these might sometimes be harsh and disturbing. But we give a voice to the voiceless, we stand together and we stand up!

The Foundation sets focus on changing misconceptions and fears which are associated with specially abled animals.

A disability is not a death sentence and special needs animals can have a good quality of life with the right care .

Education on different kinds of rehabilitation and treatments are available as well as guideline advice on best ways of looking after your special needs pet. The Foundations aim is to help get them moving with help of wheelchairs and other aids.

When owners who need to surrender their dogs the network helps by finding fosters and adopters
